Meet Ms. Sturdivant
Hello! I am absolutely thrilled to be your child’s first-grade teacher. My classroom thrives on parental cooperation. I love building a community in our classroom, and I believe that a strong relationship between the student, teacher, and parent(s) encourages students to thrive everywhere they go. My teaching style includes evidence-based practices and incorporating play!
A little about me as a person:
I am a mom to a (now) 17-month-old girl named Guinevere. I am engaged and will be married on June 14th, 2026. I love working with children; the way they feel so proud of themselves when they grasp a concept they have been struggling to learn is why I went into education in the first place. I have a total of 5 years in a special education setting, so I am very passionate about inclusive education and teaching in a way that adapts to the student's learning.
